These mirrors are made of flat glass, which slightly extend the visual field, but its main advantage is that they make estimations of speed and distance of other road users more accurate. Alternatively, convex glass has now become standard, as it extends the field of vision more than flat glass. On the other hand, convex glass reduces the image, meaning that estimating other vehicles’ speed and distance is more difficult. If you require a vast extension of the visual field, the Milenco Aero3 Towing Mirrors - Standard (Convex) Glass might be more suitable for you. However, convex glass reduces the image, and flat glass is more accurate in distance estimation.
